Come with me on this journey of literacy in exploring the psychological lens that focuses on its impact of/on the world and the collective psyche
Upon Sept 21st, 2025, at 12:53pm pst, enters the New Moon in Virgo lunar celestial phase. As the moon slips into darkness and begins its quiet rebirth in Virgo, we are invited into a sacred pause. This is a moment to recalibrate, reorganize, and realign with the deeper rhythm of our soul. Virgo is often misunderstood as the perfectionist of the zodiac, however, is the high priestess of order, healer of mundane and the guardian of sacred routines (rituals/manifestations/prayers/mantras/spiritual practices). We are called to refine those practices/rituals that nourish our spirits daily. Release clutter intentionally, illusions of the ego (actions/habits) and/or relationships that no longer serves us. Focus truly on what calls for release and not what fear & emotions impulsively implies to release. Recommit ourselves to using our gifts and being of service in the ways that are in alignment with our authenticity. Virgo energy teaches us that healing is not found in escape, but in embodying the present moment or divine essence. To thrive on integrity and precision because it is possible if you have TRUE FAITH in the universe but also in YOURSELF (inner & outer work). It's the sign that reminds us that the divine lives in details of who we authentically are, and we must choose those parts of the divine to share wisely within the world.
"Attention is the beginning of devotion" - Mary Oliver
Let's Go Deeper...
The New Moon in Virgo acts as a psychological mirror for the world's current state which invites introspection, healing, and a return to grounded systems in a time of global uncertainty. A Virgo is ruled by Mercury reminding us to ground our energy, enhancing our discernment, building structure and doing our service in the world (no matter big or small/spiritual, physical, environmental, emotional, social or mental), we are introduced to the inner analyst that seeks clarity to seek who we authentically are or to transform who we are through precision and self-improvision. Either we are becoming or remembering. Amidst the Eclipse of the New Moon in Virgo where the sun and moon align through conscious will, the collective is offered a moment to reflect.
"The primordial image, or archetype, is a figure... that constantly recurs in the course of history and appears wherever creative fantasy is freely expressed. In each of these images there is a little piece of human psychology and human fate"- Carl Jung
Virgo's Influence on the World Stage: Collective Reflections Globally
In a world grappling with information overload, climate anxiety, and economic instability, Virgo's energy is here and urges us to simplify, organize, and heal. This lunar phase may trigger the collective's desire for accountability whether in government, institutions, personal habits (subconscious traits), or connections. Accountability isn't just a buzzword but is the medicine Virgo energy offers when the world feels scattered and overwhelmed. Psychologically, it highlights the parts of us that notice what's broken and desires to fix it, not out of judgment, but out of devotion and wholeness. It shines a light on dysfunction therefore lifting the veil to make room for truth to shine in. Authenticity is then called to embrace or accept. We are called to take responsibility for what we can control and release what we can't. To simply rather than shame. We must reflect on how we desire our new beginnings to begin as Virgo's influence demands it be clean, pure intention, and rooted in truth (authenticity). The collective as a whole may share emotional, psychological and spiritual currents rippling the society in which surfaces the demand for transparency in leadership and media. Some will reevaluate your health, work and service systems (change in direction and this is ok, go with the flow). Some may desire for an ethical structure in their personal or public life. Some will be letting go of toxic productivity and embrace sustainable growth. This is not a time to punish but rather purify. We are in a moment when the world collectively feels the need to get real, get organized and get honest now. We can no longer hide the truth, our truth.
"Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free" - John 8:32
The Inner Therapist: Virgo's Path to Psychological Wholeness
Just as all has a balance, we strike upon not just the positives of this lunar phase (sun) but to heal our psyche (subconscious mind), by doing the inner work of the shadow (moon). The shadow of Virgo energy that influences the collective is perfectionism and hypercriticism. This New Moon in Virgo may stir anxiety in the air for feeling like you are not doing 'enough.' Reflect on whether you are being too hard on yourself. The gift of discernment without judgment in this time is a chance to reframe self-improvision as self-compassion. Give yourself the same love, nourishment, and tender care that you give others. In stillness, can we remain in alignment with our authenticity.... no matter how long. Take time to journal about what routines feel nourishing vs. draining. Reflect on relationships with productivity & worth. Set intentions that prioritize mental clarity and emotional hygiene (maintenance).
Collective, Heal Through Micro-Action
With the New Moon in Virgo energy in effect, influencing the collective vibe, it enters to remind us that small, consistent actions create lasting change as well. Sometimes, small things lead to bigger things (I Ching: Hexagram 62: Small Exceeding lesson). This celestial event is ideal for decluttering physical and emotional spaces (internally/externally), create rituals/routines/practices that support your mental health for remaining in balance, & reconnecting with purpose, your purpose, through service and contribution. It's important for the collective to heal through micro-action because it's not about sweeping revolutions (big loud transformations), but about refined, intentional change that begins at the root. In a world overwhelmed by chaos, noise, and urgency, Virgo's influence offers a quieter, more sustainable path: healing through the details. Micro-actions like cleaning your space or home, adjusting your schedule (flexibility), speaking truth with kindness, etc.... even though seems minor, these small things recalibrate your nervous system, your relationships, and your sense of purpose which is a powerful thing in taking back your power or gaining personal power... especially accepting or overcoming your subconscious mind to break classical conditioning (bad habits).
From a psychological perspective, micro-action reduces feelings of being overwhelmed by breaking healing into manageable pieces. It builds self-trust through consistency and rewires habits gently, allowing for long term change to occur without burnout. We must come to understand that healing isn't a performance but rather a scared intentional practice, 'The Healing Game.'
Ripple Effects of the Collective
When we, the collective, have learned to commit to small acts of healing, we contribute to a higher cause and greater good, better than our own... for to live or walk the way of 'THE ALL' is no greater value of anything else we should desire. Our communities learn to become more resilient, especially in times of struggle, hardship, challenges, or stress we can go through daily. We learn to overcome and gain inner strength in our own knowing of self or that which we never were capable within us (unconscious). The systems begin to shift toward integrity and care (whether governmental, institutional, personal habits ... etc.). The global psyche (collective consciousness/subconsciousness) gets to move from fragmentation to functional wholeness. It's almost like the heart and minds of all are coming together as one. Personal healing is never just personal because it is a sacred calling to servicing and contributing to the greater good... the evolution of mother universe (spiritually).
"I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples." -Mother Teresa
In stillness, the psyche begins to gather its scattered pieces, not just with urgency, but with devotion. This is not a chase for perfection, but a return to integrity. Through small acts of care, we remember wholeness is not something we build overnight, but is something we reclaim consistently, one sacred detail at a time. We remember it is ok to be human because we are divine beings put here on earth to experience the human journey (outer)/consciousness (inner). The journey can be long but think long term what divine timing transforms and blossoms things into, beauty. The world doesn't need more noise, it needs clarity, care, and conscious refinement. To heal from the chaos by tending to the details, both within and around us. Healing through micro-action is like planting seeds in fresh tilled soil. It's slow, sacred, and deeply effective (principles of long term). The world doesn't need louder solutions; it needs quieter devotion to higher principle of things and what truly matters.
"I'm starting with the man in the mirror. I'm asking him to change his ways. And no message could have been any clearer. If you wanna make the world a better place, take a look at yourself and then make a change" - Michael Jackson
